Okay…

So the company I work for has an independent onsite child care center. I help out with them whenever they need, and they just got word that if we did a fundraiser to help underprivileged kids get school supplies before school starts next week… THEY WILL MATCH IT DOLLAR FOR DOLLAR.

A lot of people were going to put on a bake sale at work, but vanities and arrogance has caused several people to bow out, and generally, NO ONE is doing anything.

I can’t just not do anything.

If you donate $5 I will write you a personal, one page short story based on any three topics you give me. All you have to do is tell me by emailing me at thejohnblog@gmail.com your address or preferred address to send it, and it’s yours.

If you donate $10 I will hand write the short story and send it to you.

I have until Friday, and my goal is $500

Please keep in mind, I am not doing this chasing a “grand prize” of some sort for raising the most money, nor part of a team chasing the same thing.

This money will provide not only school supplies, but backpacks, clothing and shoes for kids who normally would not have them.
